Lost in triple OT to Althoff by a FG (10-7 Final Score). 
Controversial call that is still talked about today - "too high to tell" as one ref put it.

2nd time to the playoffs and the Panthers win 2 games reaching the "Elite 8" in Class 5A (6A was the highest class in IHSA).  Lost to #1 ranked Peoria Richwoods, who lost to Joliet Catholic 14-13 in the State Championship.

6th consecutive playoff berth.  Panthers (ranked #6 in IHSA poll) draw #1 Carbondale in first round and play a home game in a snow storm.   About 2-4 inches of snow fall during the game.

1st ever undefeated regular season by OTHS. Bad draw as the Panthers (9-0) get East St Louis in the first round. East Side had a teachers strike and had 2 forfeit losses and a 6-3 record. They ended up advancing to the state semi-finals with 3 "losses".

Panthers travel north to take on IHSA #2 ranked Oswego. It is a 7-point game until late in the 4th quarter when a couple miscues lead to 14 unanswered points by Oswego.

Panthers return to the playoffs for the first time since 1998. Edwardsville knocks them off en route to a 2nd straight championship appearance.

The Panthers earn just their fourth trip past the first round of the playoffs as they knock off conference rival Edwardsville before losing to another rival in East St. Louis.

This team is the 3rd team to reach the "Elite 8" in OTHS history.  Losing to Notre Dame.  Best overall record in OTHS history.  4 Division I-A players, 2 Division I-AA players.

4th consecutive playoff berth under Coach Moeller.  The Panthers lost to conference rival Edwardsville, who reached the state semi-finals and was ranked in the top 3 in the IHSA Class 7A polls most of the season.

5th consecutive playoff berth under Coach Moeller, which ends up being his final season.  The Panthers lost to eventual state champion Chicago St. Rita, who dismantled everyone they played to win their 2nd state championship.

1st Playoff team under Coach Joggerst.  The Panthers lost 3 games to playoff qualifying teams and won a first round playoff game against Lincoln-Way Central 16-0. They become just the 4th team in OTHS history to reach the "Sweet 16" in the IHSA Playoffs (Class 7A).

2nd consecutive Playoff team under Coach Joggerst.  The Panthers won the SWC with a 7-0 record but lost their first round playoff game to conference rival Belleville East 29-13. It was supposed to be a "rebuilding" season after losing 14 players to the college ranks and dozens more to graduation, the Panthers were not having that as junior Ejay Johnson stepped in and had one of the most successful rushing seasons in OTHS history and another solid defense put the Panthers at the top of the SWC by season's end.

3rd consecutive Playoff team under Coach Joggerst and 2nd Quarterfinals team in 3 years.  The Panthers won the SWC with a 6-1 record and lost their only regular season game to state power East St. Louis 23-22. OTHS marched into the playoffs and dismantled Edwardsville, escaped at Pekin, and lost a heartbreaker to Chicago power St. Rita 19-14. This team will go down as one of the best teams in school history as it shattered many records.

4th consecutive Playoff team under Coach Joggerst. The Panthers finished 3rd in the SWC with a 5-2 conference record and were ranked as high at #4 in the IHSA State Rankings. It was the first year that OTHS had to participate in the Class 8A (highest class) playoffs and they went up to Chicago and beat Homewood 37-35, before falling to LaGrange Lyons at home in the 2nd Round.

5th consecutive Playoff team under Coach Joggerst. The Panthers finished 4th in the SWC with a 4-3 conference record and were ranked as high at #4 in the IHSA State Rankings. The Panthers played some of the toughest teams in the state. 2013 included a victory over conference rival East St. Louis, for just first time since 2004.

After missing the playoffs in 2014, the Panthers bounced back after an 0-4 start to reach the 8A playoffs. The Panthers finished tied for 2nd in the SWC with a 5-2 conference record. Once again, OTHS played some of the toughest teams in the state: Hinsdale South, Benet Academy, Edwardsville, and Homewood Flossmoor (all ranked among the top teams in Illinois). This marked the 21st playoff appearance for the Panthers (all since 1986).

The Panthers reached the playoffs for a second consecutive season. They played defending 8A state champions Loyola Academy. OTHS started off with a 14-0 lead before the defending champs caught up and took the lead. Once again, OTHS played some of the toughest teams in the state, including 2 #1 ranked teams in East St. Louis and Loyola Academy. This marked the 22nd playoff appearance for the Panthers (all since 1986).
