12/15/09 OTHS football had one of its most successful playoff seasons in school history becoming just the fourth team to reach the Elite 8. The postseason honors are starting to come in and the Panthers are represented well. All-Area, All-Metro, and All-State coming soon. [All Conference]
De'Ron Flood made it official and signed the letter of intent to play for the Purdue Boilermakers. De'Ron was an all-state tightend for the Panthers and set a school record with his 10 catches in the Elite 8 game. He ranks among the tops in every receiving category at OTHS.
Jaunell Pugh ends his solid career at SEMO as a 3 year starter on the offensive line, the longest of any player on the roster. Pugh will receive his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in May.
Duane Bennett hauled in 2 passes for 13 years in the Insight Bowl. Iowa State defeated Minnesota 14-13.
Dan Moore finishes his collegiate career a winner as the Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Miami Hurricanes 20-14 in the Champs Sports Bowl. Dan had 1 solo tackle and started at DT.
Indiana lost to Purdue 38-21 in what was former Panther Troy Wagner's last game. Troy was awarded IU's Offensive Play Maker of the year at their annual awards banquet.
